Yavapai County Time Capsule Burial
On July 3, 2026, following the annual Kiddie Parade, the Yavapai County Free Library District will host the official burial of the Yavapai County time capsule. The ceremony begins at 11:30 AM at the historic Prescott Courthouse Square, on the corner of Goodwin and Cortez Streets. Community members are invited to attend this free event and witness the historic moment the capsule is buried.
The time capsule will remain sealed for 50 years and is scheduled to be opened in 2076 as a part of the Unites States Tercentennial celebration.
