Investing In The Next Generation Of Civil Dialogue
A Celebration & Fundraiser For Arizona’s High-School Speech & Debate Students
Join us at Sneaky Big Studios in Scottsdale for an evening with the Arizona students shaping the future of public conversation. High school speech and debate students will take the stage for a live exhibition, followed by remarks from Arizona elected leaders, speech and debate educators, and a discussion on the future of civil dialogue in our state.
Civil dialogue is a skill. Like any skill, it has to be practiced. The students you’ll meet are practicing it now, and most will spend the next decade in newsrooms, courtrooms, classrooms, and city halls.
Support Arizona’s Student Debaters
Every dollar raised tonight goes directly to Arizona high school speech and debate teams through the Civic Action Network.
The evening also launches the Arizona Talks Civic Action Network (CAN), a new initiative with the Arizona Speech and Debate Association and the Arizona Clean Elections Commission to expand speech and debate access in Arizona high schools, and the start of a long-term commitment to Arizona’s next generation of communicators.
