Desert Birding at Lost Dutchman at Lost Dutchman State Park

February 26 @ 8:30 am - 10:00 am
Meet in the Palo Verde Day Use area and learn how to distinguish between birds and seek out our avian friends from hawks to hummingbirds throughout the trail!
Be prepared for a 1-mile, slow-paced bird walk on moderate, rocky terrain with a mild 150ft elevation gain. The program takes about 1.5 hours.
Please wear close-toed shoes, and don’t forget water, a hat, and binoculars! Ages 10 and up are welcome. To increase chances of bird sightings, no pets please. Led by volunteer Hinde. The program is free with paid park entry. Free bird lists provided.
This event is part of Outdoors250, a celebration of America’s 250th anniversary and Arizona’s natural heritage. By participating in this event, you can enter to win Outdoors250 prizes by signing up at AZStateParks.com/Outdoors250.
