Celebrating America’s Semiquincentennial

Arizona America250 Commission

The Arizona America250 Commission was created to lead the commemoration of our nation’s 250th anniversary and highlight the role Arizona plays in the American story. Through its subcommittees—spanning arts, culture, civic engagement, history, military affairs, and tourism—the commission works to engage communities, preserve heritage, and inspire innovation. Each member brings unique expertise and passion to the table, ensuring this milestone celebration is inclusive and impactful. Together, they are shaping a vision that will connect Arizona’s past, present, and future.

To support the mission of the Arizona America250 Commission, Commissioners chair dedicated subcommittees focused on Arts, Museums & Cultural Institutions, Civic, Engagement, Education & Community Service, History, Heritage & Historic Preservation, Military & Veterans Affairs, Municipal Outreach & Tribal Affairs, and Travel & Tourism. These groups bring together valued voices and expertise to shape programs that honor Arizona’s rich history, vibrant communities, and untamed spirit of independence.
