Winter Solstice Tour to Hohokam Village, Petroglyphs, and Historic CCC Archaeological Sites
On December 21, 2025, from 8:30 to noon, archaeologist Allen Dart leads Old Pueblo Archaeology Center’s Winter Solstice Tour to Los Morteros Hohokam Village and Signal Hill CCC & Petroglyph Sites near Tucson. Los Morteros is an ancient village site that includes a large Hohokam ballcourt, bedrock mortars, and other archaeological features.
The Signal Hill site in the Tucson Mountains includes Hohokam petroglyphs and historic 1930s Civilian Conservation Corps architecture.
